Take a scenic drive to the historical town of Ladysmith nestled in the heart of the Battlefields with the majestic Drakensberg mountains as a backdrop.<\/p>\n

The next morning, enjoy a scrumptious full English breakfast (next to the pool in summer). \u00a0After that, enjoy our recreational facilities, relax in the Turkish steam room, and experience the jet pool, Jacuzzi and swimming pool. Feed the fish in the pond. Go for a game of golf on the course.

Enter our graceful property through the impressive hand crafted black and gold wrought iron electronic gates reminding you of Buckingham Palace gates. Leave your car in the parking area where a night security guard will take care of all of the property for your peace of mind. You are welcomed by your friendly host (Ferdie) and hostess (Judy) to our Country Lodge overlooking the golf course and a direct view onto the Game Reserve.<\/p>

Step into your luxury garden en-suite room with a Victorian bath awaiting you. Wrap yourself in a toweling robe in your suite: Air conditioned in summer and under floor heated in winter. Help yourself from the fully stocked mini bar fridge and sip a sundowner in the garden on the rolling lawns while you are enjoying the awesome sunset into the Drakensberg. Book a tour with a registered tour guide and visit some of the battlefields. Ladysmith is surrounded by no less than 10 major battlesites.\u00a0Take a picture of yourself next to one of the Howitzers in front of the City Hall. Visit the Siege museum which served as a ration post for civilians.\u00a0Enquire about all the daily trips to be made at the museum.
For the more energetic, go hiking in the Drakensberg.\u00a0Experience the panoramic view from the top of Mount-Aux-Sources. An awe-inspiring 3 282 metres is the source of five major rivers.
After a day filled with fun, return to the cushy comfort of Bokmakierie. You may decide to have dinner homecooking style or experience a South African Braai. Coffee and tea facilities awaiting you in your suite.
